What is Transformational Breath®?
Transformational Breath® is a self- empowering healing technique that works on three levels – physical, mental/emotional and spiritual. How does Transformational Breath® work?
Transformational Breath® is a breath technique that uses a Higher vibrational energy created by a specific breathing pattern. The universal principle of Entrainment states:
“A LOWER VIBRATIONAL PATTERN CAN BE PERMANENTLY RAISED TO A HIGHER FREQUENCY BY COMING IN CONTACT WITH A HIGHER VIBRATIONAL ENERGY SOURCE.”
We access this higher vibrational energy source using the specific breathing patten Transformational Breath® teaches.
Transformational Breath® allows us to access the electro-magnetic field at a cellular level. We permanently integrate lower vibrations to higher frequencies. This is how we create permanent healing and transformation. It is unlike other breath techniques. It is a complete healing system which requires one only to breathe consciously, using a specific technique. While other schools of breathwork focus on certain aspects of breathing for example to clear the birth trauma, Transformational Breath® address all traumas from birth, to self- sabotage, to parent/authority issues and much more.
Transformational Breath® was developed by Dr Judith Kravit over 50 years ago. Judith cured herself of a malignant growth on her neck, just by breathing consciously. She was really motivated to bring this breathing technique to the whole world after her own healing. Judith had a background in meta-physics, re-birthing, and breath work prior to her illness. By experimenting with various breath techniques, she created what is now known as Transformational Breath®. Her book entitled Breath Deep, Laugh Loudly available on the Transformational Breath UK website, relates the stories of many clients who healed from all kinds of diseases, traumas, addictions and more, using this powerful breath technique. Key Techniques Used in Transformational Breath®
The six techniques involved in Transformational Breath® allow us to breath more fully, unblocking restricted breathing patterns, thereby creating less restrictions in our breathing, so we can access more peace and joy in our lives and ultimately attain higher states of consciousness. It is a complete healing system which can change lives.
The first technique is Breathing Analysis, we do this to understand how the client breathes. We each have a unique breathing pattern. This pattern was created by life experiences, and it tells a lot about how we deal with life. Each person’s breath is as unique as their fingertips and reflects their personality and who they are in the world.
The second technique is Positioning, once we identify the client’s breathing pattern, we help them find the ideal position for them to breathe. This makes it easier for clients to work on opening and balancing their breathing patterns.
The third technique is Conscious Breathing, which means focusing on breathing with the diaphragm and of course the lungs. There are no pauses between the inhale and the exhale, or between the exhale and inhale. We refer to this as circular breathing. The open mouth, conscious connected breath may be practiced straight away after the introduction to this powerful technique.
The fourth technique is Body Mapping, we use a hands-on technique to help relax tension in muscles. We make sure clients only use the right muscles when breathing. Body mapping is similar to acupressure, but not identical.
The fifth technique is Affirmations, we always work with intention. Clients are asked to from a positive intention for each breath session, which may be written and is affirmed during the breath session. We use affirmations to help open the breath and to promote emotional integration.
The final techniques Sound & Movement help promote an open, connected breathing pattern. Moving the body especially arms and legs helps shake out old stagnant energy. Expressing with a pure tone (vowel sound) is very helpful in integrating old breath patterns into new open healthy breathing patterns. Sound and movement help activate the breath and integrate emotions.
Transformational Breath® differs from other breathing techniques because each breath session is specifically tailored to the needs of the client. The session begins with a breathing analysis to ascertain where the client is holding the breath and where the breath is already flowing. Positioning the client in the most appropriate fashion helps to open the breath from the very beginning of the session. The position varies according to what was observed in the breathing analysis.
Transformational Breath® uses the whole respiratory system to create an open healthy breath. The breath is open, when we breathe into the lower abdomen, through the mid-section right up to the throat in one flowing movement. This differs from other breath techniques which focus only on diaphragmatic breathing or on chest breathing. Using acupressure points, developed within the Transformational Breath® system, we accurately body-map blockages and help to release those blockages in the breathing pattern. There is no generic formula applied to clients as in other breathing techniques, each client is treated as a unique individual with a unique breathing pattern.
The affirmations used in Transformational Breath® are directly related to the blockages we are trying to release and are therefore of maximum benefit to the client. We speak directly to the client’s unconscious as a clear positive command. The client’s unconscious responds, by-passing the conscious brain, thereby bringing about permanent transformation.
The addition of movement and sound is unique to Transformational Breath®. The vibrations created through one’s own body movement and pure vowel sounds allow the client to shake loose stagnant energy and integrate the lower vibrations associated with physical, mental and emotional pain into higher vibrational energy. We always feel lighter and clearer after a breath session.
